We are thrilled to unveil an exciting transformation within our nonprofit organization. As the Founder and CEO, I'm proud to announce the evolution of our identity. Currently known as Personal Care Calling Services, Inc., we are now embracing a new dba moniker: Daily Peace of Mind Communications – Advocating by honoring the needs of others.
This change is more than just a shift in name; it's a reflection of our unwavering dedication to our mission and values. Our journey has been marked by recognition on esteemed platforms like findhelp.org, charitynavigator.org, and guidestar.org, amplifying our impact and reach within the community and across the U.S.
However, as we've grown, we've encountered a discrepancy in perception, particularly with leading Medicare insurance companies and organizations like The Veterans Administration and AARP. The term "Care" in our founding name often implied in-person services, which didn't align with our virtual assistance model. We found ourselves in a position where our name inadvertently disappointed those seeking in-home care solutions.
To bridge this gap and better convey our essence, we've embraced the name Daily Peace of Mind Communications. This fresh identity encapsulates our commitment to providing virtual support while upholding our advocacy for the needs of our valued recipients. Our core mission remains steadfast: to offer hope and companionship through meaningful daily communications to seniors, disabled individuals, and those in need. The accolades and recognition we've received, including being featured in United Health Medicare's printed materials, validate the impact of our work.
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, our resolve remains unshakable. We continue to serve our recipients with patience and compassion, supported by the Founders personal funding, and the impending funding of a private foundation grant. Our hearts are filled with gratitude as a few of our recipients, who are offered the services at no charge, insist on contributing to our cause. A difference can be made no matter the size of their generous donations.
As we embark on this rebranding, I extend my gratitude for your unwavering support. While our name may have changed, our commitment to providing peace of mind and hope through our services remains resolute. Thank you for being part of our journey toward a brighter, more compassionate future.
